Rev. Frankie Timmers

Minister

revfrankie_webReverend Frankie Timmers was born in The Netherlands and raised in the Catholic faith. Educated in The Netherlands, France and the United States, she is proficient in Dutch, German, French and English.  Intending to be a veterinarian, she never dreamed someday she would be a minister.  In 1982 while in the United States, on an extended stay as a tourist, she was introduced to Religious Science and began the study of the Science of Mind®. In 1987 she became a Religious Science minister and serves as the  Spiritual Director of Center for Spiritual Living Morristown.

Rev. Frankie is a dynamic speaker and teacher of metaphysics, a counselor, organizer of church activities, and she conducts weekly lunch hour meditation sessions open to the public.  She has been a guest on panels, radio/television shows, and facilitated workshops for the Rotary, Kiwanis, Alcoholics Anonymous, Women’s Centers, Senior Citizen Centers, prisons, and Morris County Community College.  She presently serves on the Morris County Area Clergy Council.  Besides her service to the Center and community, her interests are in yoga, bicycling, holistic health, the environment, flute, and her cat Joop.

Her travels have taken her all over the world. Her most recent trips have been to Turkey, where she traveled with a group of Sufis.  Meeting Sufi sheiks and visiting ancient Sufi sites.  Her most delicious experience was honoring Jellaludin Rumi, the 13th century Sufi poet at his tomb in Konya, Turkey. She has also traveled to South Africa three times, each for a one-month visit. She has had the privilege of serving Ela Gandhi at her International Centre on Non-Violence in Durban, Ela Gandhi is the grand daughter of Mahatma Gandhi.

Rev. Frankie is very alive and feels tuned into Spirit in a way that is contagious. Her ministry is all about celebrating who we REALLY are, which is Spirit in expression. She takes the Science of Mind® teaching and principles very seriously and herself very lightly.

Rev. Janice Billera

Staff Minister

revjanice_webRev. Janice Billera is passionate about life and the transformative power of Spirit. Always interested in personal growth, she was guided to practical spirituality and the metaphysical teachings of New Thought 15 years ago.  Her inner journey of self discovery and deep commitment to the path of sacred union with God led her to Religious Science and our Morristown Center in 1999.  She began her SOM studies in earnest and become a Licensed Practitioner in 2002 and later a Licensed Minister, installed as a Staff Minister at CSLM in 2006.  Rev. Janice expanded her outreach ministry by becoming the Spiritual Leader at Unity of Sussex County where she integrates the Science of Mind and New Thought teachings into a powerful Ministry of Truth.

Her education and previous business background was centered in the legal field, where she worked as a Legal Administrator for 25 years. Her management, leadership, and administrative skills continue to serve our Center in valuable ways.

Her spiritual journey has afforded her numerous opportunities to travel in North and South America, studying with many teachers of varied traditions, as well as speaking and leading transformative classes and workshops. She is known as an inspiring teacher, a dynamic speaker, and a leader who deeply touches her audiences with her humor and profound insights.

Rev. Janice shares love, laughter and the joy of living with her daughter, Michele, and her life partner, Rev. Rich.

Rev John Hannes

Staff Minister

revjohn_webRev. John Hannes combines a technical background with the mystical in his ministry, his classes, counseling and leadership at the Center.  He trained as a physicist, engineer and business leader. Working with customers in Silicon Valley he helped engineers measure and understand their new high tech software and hardware designs. Moving to New Jersey he served as General Manager at an electronics design firm with responsibility for developing new products and growing revenue and profits through creating, building, marketing and distributing products in the US, Asia and Europe.

John came to New Thought in 1998 after a spring awakening while recovering from a heart opening medical procedure. Relating deeply to nature and the red tipped sprig of the Oak branch he experienced a transformation in thinking that led him to spiritual study, inspiration and balance. He has served as a Board of Trustee leader and facilitator at
Morristown and has led the Teen and Youth programs. He is active in the Men's community at the Center and co-leads a group there.

Rev. John leads adult classes of learning and exploration where students gain deeper insights of themselves and an understanding of Science of Mind®. principles. His speaking style blends the poetic, the mystical and the practical through metaphor and exploration of life’s questions. His spiritual idol is Ralph Waldo Emerson and he enjoys reading books from other historic spiritual authors.

In June of 2009 he formed Essential Business Nature, a group of Strategic Development Consultants that help companies and non profits define their strategy and then develop and execute their business plans. EBN is designed to help organizations demonstrate their true ‘genius’ as they move to growth through change with ease and grace.

A husband and father of three sons, John enjoys hiking, photography, poetry, sailing and all great adventures.
