7:30 - The Road to Q'ERO: A Journey Home

In 2010, a New York family was invited by the Q’ero, decendents of the Incas with deep connections to the workings of Mother Earth, to do something unprecedented: enter their village in the Peruvian Andes and film their sacred ceremonies in order to bring back an urgent message to the industrialized world.
On this uncharted adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and culminating in a journey on foot and horseback to Q’ero, the travelers are invited to participate in the Q’ero’s ancient rituals, including their kaypays - a series of sacred ceremonies that are an exchange of energy and a bestowal of power of the anicent lineage. The group experiences these often-rigorous ceremonies, reconnecting them to the elements: the stars, wind, water, lake, moon, sun, and the Incas.
This is the story of that remarkable journey.
